This is a pencil sketch I attempted on Johnson Peak Lookout in the summer of 1972 or 73. The tower was about 90’ high, with a cabin about seven feet square. One could open the windows, which helped on a hot day, but being at about 6000’, I rarely suffered from heat. The main challenge working on fire lookouts for me was keeping occupied during the times between the routine checks of the horizon. This lookout has been dismantled
