Northwest Coast Pictographs
Many of these photos were taken during a rock art documentation project I did in 1984 in northern BC. Some of the sites were truly “cliff hangers”; the documentation process usually involved climbing up to a rock painting or group of paintings, placing a sheet of clear plastic over it with masking tape, and then copying the image with a felt tip pen onto the plastic. Later the plastic image would be photographed, the slide projected onto paper, and a scale drawing of the image(s) made. The other pictographs shown here are located on the central BC coast.
