railroad graffiti (fixed locations)
These are photos from fixed locations, all on the west coast, and mostly from the past dozen years, although the graffiti date from the teens of the last century. Included are some that date from the 1890s from Ashland, Oregon. Most were made by hobos traveling by freight trains, often waiting near a water tank where the steam trains would stop to take on water.
