Thomas Photos
: According to my stepfather, Thomas Reid, these photos were taken by his grandfather, Jesse E. Thomas (1859-1928). Mr. Thomas worked as assistant lighthouse keeper at Tatoosh Island around 1900-1904, the period when these photos were almost certainly taken. Some of them may be from negatives that he was given by another photographer by the name of Morse. Copies of these photos have been given to the Makah Cultural Center in Neah Bay, WA. They are of the Makah people at their summer fishing camp on Tatoosh Island.
